Bly, our black bear, roams throughout the Pacific Northwest forest and mountains in North America. You might see him in Canada, Alaska, the Rocky Mountains, the upper Midwest, the southern U.S., or the Appalachian Mountains. He loves to eat berries, fruit, sedges and insects. When he can't find these, he'll eat fish, honeycomb and human food and garbage. He sleeps during winter in his den in the hollow of a tree or log, or under the root mass of a tree, in a rock crevice or even high in a tree in warmer climates.
